His Past

He was a MERCENARY, who lived in the heart of the woods, and when the moons come up, they barely light up the darkness. There were messengers out in the lands that know how to find him and not get caught in one of the many traps set, until he met Khouri and he made a home outside Ar with her. He was still a mercenary living in Ar until Khouri and he visited the city Schendi and the folks there talked them into staying. Khouri swore to the city but he didn't because he was the outlaw and never thought he would ever swear to some city. He never felt one way or another when he killed, stole things back for folks or guarded women.

He took what he wanted, anyway he could. Some said he was a Rogue, Merchant for hire and some have even told him, he was fair in price. He even made bargains with others and for their payment they do the killing down the road. He can move around in the shadows quietly or in the middle of a crowd loudly. He doesn't like women that act like sluts in robes and he will slap a collar around their necks and sell them for a cheap price. But, he does like a woman that speaks her mind in a way that is respectful.

His First Mate was Khouri Zain.

Khouri and he met at the arena one day. It started with a simple wager and ended up later with him telling her that she is his forever. He claimed the woman in every way. She knews the only way out was death or so he thought. She knew her limits and values with him. He loved her humor, wits, business sense, and was proud of her and the pale eyes that always look at him.

One night in their gardens at the Villa his woman thought their family, and friends were gathered for a wine and cheese party, he took his woman’s hand leading her to the front table, where their best friend Sloane had set up the things for a joining. He couldn't have done this without the help of Sloane, and YES she CAN keep a secret. He told his woman the truth and it was a joining with their family and friends. His woman thought she was in shock, until he nods to the band and begins to sing his vows to her and she nearly fainted. He wanted to give her the joining she had always thought that she use to dream about.

I'll admit I could feel it. The first time that we touched. The look in your eyes. Said you felt as much. But I'm not a man. Who falls so easily? It's best that you know. Where you stand with me. He used to wear silver & gold ring that has an onyx stone; on his left hand, ring finger. Khouri Zain gave it to him, but now he has removed it and placed it in a safe place. She had engraved inside, " To my Heart, today and always." Khouri was his first true love and they were mated for many years until one day Khouri took Vinear, Zemmes, and Zirous to Ar where her vineyard is and never returned. She sent no word and after two long years of heartache he moved on. It wasn't easy for him to do at all. She was his friend, business partner and mate. She showed him what true love was and that he craved it, giving up the extra women. He will always have love for this woman and she will always have a special place in his heart. She will always be able to see the children they had together.

You enter any of the woods trying to find him and here is a start of what you might come across.

Once in the woods, if you happen to make it past all the traps, and scouts that have their arrows pointing at your heart and take a wrong turn, you would find such a beautiful places such as these waterfalls. The sounds and smells that they send off will place you into a trance, that you will feel like time just stopped.

A place like this is where he would be and as you can see he might even be right under your nose, or should he say, right under your wings. And you would never know it was the Mercenary.
